Muhle Gaschurn - Sankt Gallenkirch

Great experience, wonderful food and drink in an authentic century old building. Beverages on the terrace watching the sun go behind the mountains with the river gurgling in the background, followed by great traditional dishes and music inside... and the schnapps was also not so bad!

Beautiful restored former mill, several hundred years old with original wooden plank floor in one of the upper floor rooms. Small menu with a daily special, some cold dishes, carvings, pork ankles with emptying and soup. Very nice service, good food. Live accordion music. Very recommended to book a table as it is not huge and popular.

I have eaten many occasions in Austria and have always been lucky to have found super places to eat local food. The Muhle Heuringer was a disappointment for me. The food was simply expensive for what it was and the drinks prices were above the top. The whole place had the feeling of an Austrian theme restaurant and not quite pull it out. The only redeeming factor in my opinion was our waitress who spoke excellent English and had a very nice personality. Some of the youngsters had Pork Schnitzel, who came without a salad that hit the price up to 20 euros. none of our parties thought it was worth going back.

Ein tolles Restaurant in einer ruhigen Umgebung wo man einfach die Seele baumeln lassen kann und mega leckere regionale Gerichte, die auch noch appetitlich angerichtet sind, serviert bekommt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ;)

Nach anfänglichen Startschwierigkeiten hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr originell in einer Mischung aus Tradition und Handwerk eingerichtet. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. Hervorragend der Zimt- Chili Wiskey als Schnaps. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Der Biergarten ist sehr gemütlich und ebenfalls toll eingerichtet.
