Bidrage med feedbackDefinitely a let down. The 'shrimp bichi ' I ordered was cool to Luke warm. It tasted like water from an oyster bucket. Ive tasted this before in other bad restaurants which I 'm guessing comes from using artificial shrimp flavor. My friend ordered an 'Aguachile ' molcajete which was ok but definitely made with artificial lime juice. Service was mediocre and was disappointed that our server didn 't care to ask why I barely touched the 'bichi ' I ordered. Decor was great and looks like a comfortable place to hang out for drinks but definitely would never order food here again.
Very rarely do I give a poor reviews but this was a really bad experience. 10 minutes after we sat the watery margs came. We skipped apps b/c of the wait. We did ask for a little more salsa-it was forgotten. 2 entrees were okay. Enchiladas and burger. The big issue was the malcojete with shrimp and octopus. Neither were grilled as the menu described. The shrimp was way over cooked and flavorless, the octopus was inedible, rubbery, not trimmed, very tough. Everything was very hot but the octopus wasn’t, so it seemed to be out of the package and dropped in the dish. The waiter disappeared so there wasn’t an opportunity to comment or try another dish. The prices are on the high side so the cheapest possible napkins, plates, and even cutlery is a turn-off. And, they did not have oysters at 5pm, ummmmm “oyster bar”. They have great reviews so they must otherwise be doing something right.
Really mediocre food. Even the chips and salsa were bad. Chips tasted burnt and the salsa was watery. Much better food nearby. The service was good however.
Delicious, juicy, and flavorful fresh oysters. Crystella (Kristella? was a great waitress who made good recommendations without pressuring or rushing us ordering, though it was a full house. Creative menu that we'd be willing to come back and try more of!Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menú and kid options!
Christella was an amazing waitress. I have gotten used to a fairly low bar for service at even higher end restaurants, but this experience raised that bar for sure. Very professional and informative without making you feel rushed into not asking questions about the menu.Food was delicious— will try to come back some time for the surf burger and black salsa aguachile
