Manta Rey - San Simeon

Service is slow. That's not a bad thing. Just know before you go and be kindly patient. It's a small restaurant, not a fast food. Relax for a while. I had the Alfredo Pasta and it was delicious. The sauce was seasoned differently than the traditional Alfredo sauce and I cannot really describe it. Some may not like it being something different, but try it. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was slightly broken and he really liked it.

Amazing food at a great price beautiful view! We are here 2 years in a row and the food plus service is never disappointing! Every time very satisfied, will definitely come back when we are in the city.

I had the Sampler Platter with a glass of Chardonnay from the Hearst Ranch Winery. The food presentation was appealing and the food smell of this hot plate was wonderful. I took my time to enjoy the aromas. What a wonderful surprise to find this restaurant. Very clean and sanitary facilities.

We had a delicious dinner, Miguel the owner welcomed us and sat right away. We started with some delicious fresh coconut shrimps and a few ice-cold beers. I had a nice bowl of shells that was thick and full of taste. For dinner I had the special snapper, potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables. Lydia had shrimps Alfredo and Pasta. Let me say that everything was perfectly cooked and full of tastes that were from this world. We finished our dinning experience with a no flower chocolate cake for Lydia and I had the house special orange ice cream. If you ever travel in San Simeon or just go through, we recommend that you stop and have a five star meal and say Miguel that Lydia and Robert sent you????????????

Quaint restaurant with delicious food. The waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and had good humor. Filet mignon was buttery, the seafood pasta dish was eye-rolling good and the artichoke Appetizer was tasty. And the chowder..ooh the chowder..yummy. Fish and chips were flakey fresh. Its a lovely place to come to for delicious food and possibly a romantic ambiance.
