Dakota S American Diner

Had a FABULOUS dinner at Dakota's!!! The burgers and pizza were delicious, the shakes were amazing, the desserts were incredible, and the service was phenomenal!!! Lots of parking, easy to get to, great views from the side of Vesuvius! Highly recommend!!!

We had dinner this diner and we liked the food a lot. simple menu and great American style burgers. We definitely will visit again to try the pancakes. The drive up to restaurant is easy and has a great view of the bay of napoli

We came across this restaurant on the internet when we were looking for a place to eat after our visit to Vesuvius. Not only was the food excellent, the service was great, the views were beautiful, and they speak English too! We had ordered cheeseburgers, fries, pizza an dessert. The cheeseburgers were authentic (best burgers in Italy I've ever had), the potatoes were cut fresh and fried in front of me, and the pizza was very authentic to Neapolitan style (which is my fave). After eating like a cow I then tried their homemade cheesecake and red velvet cake (which I've never seen in Italy) and it was delicious!!! Such a pleasant surprise! Highly recommend for a change of pace if looking for something other than Italian food for a fun night out. P.S. ask for their Nutella pizza! It's not on the menu but it was awesome!

Went to this place after hiking the volcano. From the summit of the volcano you see the true beauty of this amazing city. Its chaotic nature boiling under the panoramico. Just before heading back into the belly of the beast we needed to fill our bellies. In a moment of nostalgia we craved a good american burger but found something more. The spirit of Americana boiling in an american styled Diner on the side of a volcano. Dakota Diner is run by a Neapolitan family with the boomerang story of Parents who moved to the USA and the american kid who then marries a Neapolitan and moves back to Italy. The food was on point with American tastes and fresh never frozen Italian ingredients. We had an In&Out inspired double double with fresh cut frys and secret sauce animal style). We also ate a fresh pizza that was italian traditional but with american inspired toppings. If you're a HOG club member these guys sponsor 2 local Harley clubs and its a convenient rest stop to park. Service was very good and very american casual with servers who care to check on you and make you feel like they want you there.
