Bidrage med feedbackI only go to this place for jjajangmyeon noodle with black bean sauce). It gives me a homemade food vibe. It makes me feel like I am eating a real meal rather than some seasoning boosted, too good to be true food that you eat at other restaurants. You get to taste everything ingredients. Maybe some more pork pieces would make it even better.
Brothers kitchen is a good spot for anyone in the San Ramon area that's craving a bowl of jj noodles or jampon. Overall the taste of the food is good and they always make your order on time. This is one of my regular go to spots!
Very sweet server and overly sweet food. The bibimbap too sweet (and also kind of weird to put fresh lettuce in it instead of spinach banchan). The sauce on the grilled chicken too sweet. All the meat was on the dry side. Bibimbap is supposed to be healthy... and this did not taste healthy at all. I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I'm guessing their specialty is Korean street food like ddukbokie which I have not tried yet, but I'm going to make an educated guess and say that would be too sweet for my taste buds too.
Glad that a Korean pace specialized in making noodles opened in San Ramon! We visited on a Saturday night and it was pretty quite. The place is very tiny and is located in the corner of a shopping plaza. There is only one other party besides us, so both of us can sit in the outside area. Service is good and friendly. Food is what made me give the 3 stars unfortunately. We tried the black bean noodle and brisket jjampong. The black bean sauce is very watery.... Not very authentic compared to other Korean noodle places I've tried, such as Paik's. Brisket jjampong is ok but only had a few slices of brisket... I don't know if it is just the one night that's off. Willing to give another try to test out the consistency.
This is a very solid place if you are looking for Korean food in the area, and their kimchi is very good! It's available for purchase for $8.50 per container. I had tteokbokki (I like it a little thicker but it was still very good! Very large portion, I was super hungry and finished half. My husband had the beef bulgogi and it was a little tough but still a solid choice. We will have to try their chicken next time. Indoors is small and pretty hot, for anything spicy I like to be a little cold so I will sit outside next time if the weather is fine. They were all VERY nice and came to check on us many times. I appreciate their stainless steel water cups.. don't ask me why, I just immediately notice and appreciate it about any place if they have them. I will happily return again and again. It's a little on the pricier side, but that's okay with me!
