All'ombra Wine And Fish

I went there for a “cicchettino” (wine and tapas) after being recommended by someone local but I was disappointed with the price for each tasting (4.5 euro). I enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere. However, this is definitely not the place for tasting traditional cicchettinoes.

We came for dinner and asked to dine outside (I can recognize that it wasn't the best decision . The food is really good and cooked very well. Overpriced but acceptable if you consider the fact that is what I would refer to as a fashionable place (maybe go as far as to say fancy? . What wasn't acceptable at all was the fact that the waiters crammed all the tables, especially the ones close to us, with people for which there wasn't clearly the space (on a table for four people a family of five and, worse, on a table for two a group of six . I understand that restaurants and bars need to have as many people as possible to make up for covid restrictions in the previous months, but that doesn't mean that I want a fancy dinner that feels like my high school canteen. Are the blond extensions of my neighbour in my plate an extra charge with the fried fish? I'd say that has to be part of the new covid friendly environment (one in which the virus is very welcome . Moreover the waiters (one especially didn't really care to listen to orders and seemed to struggle with basic tasks. One even ignored us when we wanted to ask for a coffee and went straight to stand at the door... he literally was just standing there trying his hardest not to work. Even worse, when it came time to pay, I made a joke (my bad on the fact that they could give us a discount, one of which I was immediately reprimanded by a stern waiter that told me they were already giving us one, I even apologized. Only to get home and realise that no discount was given at all! Was my joke that bad? Maybe. All in all, if you are brave enough to endure the struggles of rude waiters, people chain smoking and possibly a bump or two from the busy street on which the tables are set, the food is good. I would suggest the octopus.

I'm demanding, but this is the best bibione deal. absolutely exceptional staff, excellent food, excellent wines. It is useless to say that for very good money. It's not for everyone, but it's an experience. we tried all the best restaurants in the area, this surpasses all reviews. I highly recommend.
