Beach Hut Deli - San Mateo

I ordered a meatball sub but it ended up being more like meatballs with a side of bread, sauce, and condiments. It wasn't very flavorful, but I did appreciate the cool decor of the restaurant. They also had a great selection of beers on tap. I plan to return and try a different sandwich, possibly opting for a cold sub and a beer. They also offer a nice variety of hearty salad options.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service at this restaurant. When I tried the food, I was blown away. The sandwich was the best I've ever had. I'm not local to this area, but I really wish there was one of these restaurants near me in Southern California. The Piccoli in Malibu are fantastic!

AMAZING... this restaurant is a small establishment run by a friendly owner. I appreciate when the owners interact with me personally, making sure my experience is top-notch and helping me choose something delicious from the menu. Taylor, you did an excellent job - I devoured every last bite!

Just discovered new place with amazing sandwiches. Pig kahuna is so good! Currently it's my top pick for sandwiches in bay area just like Mod pizza is a top pick for pizza's!

Firstly, a quick shout out to the above and beyond young men and women who work here. They are doing the lords work with these sandwiches! I had a VERY last minute catering order I needed and they came through, on time, with my ridiculous pick up time. The sandwiches are always consistent. They take great care to maintain their own standards and it really shows when you have a beautifully colorful sandwich or salad put down in front of you. The lemon vinaigrette is afavorite of mine, so if you're a salad fiend, don't pass it up.
