Restaurant Helios - San-Martino-di-Lota

Found this place on TripAdvisor. I thought we'd try. We were the only customers at the beginning. Tablecloth and cloth napkins hit high prices. We were wrong. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and cheap. Try the grilled squid as an appetizer. The linguins with mussels was also excellent. It was good for us, children and everyone. Worth a visit!

This hotel restaurant has two fixed price menus that I chose for the more expensive and supplemented it with some very beautiful local white wine (they offer glasses with regular and superior wines, mine is the superior, hopefully). The menu was very hit and miss... while the starter of Corsica ham was very good, it was accompanied by a packed piece of President Butter (the same, they serve at their breakfast). For the main course I chose the swordfish medal, it was moderate, not well seasoned, and accompanied by a huge amount of mayonnaise. Avoid. The dessert (mascarpone and strawberries) was excellent and very tasty. Well, I don't even know, maybe the other options for the main dishes are much better. There is at least hope! But the service was absolutely brilliant!

The Helios Restaurant at Hotel Thalassa is a good value. The 'Prix Fixe' menus are varied and the food is appetite. Staff are well humiliated and take care of you very well. The sea view is excellent, only occasionally from the ubiquitous... "White Van" on the street outside. My wife and I enjoyed it enormously.

Jolies assiettes et bons produits frais. Carpaccio de poissons, salade de poulpes, linguini servies dans une meule de parmesan ... très bon, juste à la sortie de Bastia sur la route du Cap. Menu enfants également. Adresse à retenir. Merci pour tout !

Décor très agréable, accueil très sympathique, pour bien manger et pas trop cher je vous conseille leur menu à 22€ entrée+plat+fromage ou dessert !!! un vrai régal... le poisson est très frais, le fromage Corse ainsi que la charcuterie Corse un vrai délice ...
