Great service and eating! lewis helped us and remembered my man. made him his favorite drink, smoked old fashion.

Great service, nice outdoor patio area with heaters, if needed. Moderately priced as a steakhouse. Steak and shrimp plates are very good. Baked potato soup is delicious.

The outback steakhouse in san marcos. Fairly new place, in the center of town. Easy access from town or the freeway. Good amount of parking, overflow shared with the hotel. Quality menu and nice indoor\outdoor bar. Fairly expensive, but good quality. I ordered medium well. I got rare : . pumpernickel bread was warm and tasty. I wish they had honey butter. Good selection from steak to chicken to surf and turf. Plus some creative menu items and apps. Recommended.

Had a nice lunch today, with two friends at this fairly new location near my home in San Marcos. Got there shortly after they opened, so no parking problems, no waiting, and prompt and friendly service. Two of us had the Prime Rib Sandwich, her with a salad and me with the Aussie Fries (they're French Fries, but when in Sydney ... . We both loved the Prime Rib, and the side dishes were more than ample. I washed mine down with a refreshing Seasonal Ale from Stone. They have a great selection of Crafts...just ask. Our friend had one of the Burgers, which she enjoyed as well. The lunch prices were very reasonable, given the fare. Loved our young waitress, but unfortunately forgot her name. She was great, though! Only reason it's a 4? instead of a 5 is the lack of any real ambience. I wasn't expecting Crocodile Dundee, but maybe something to remind me that I wasn't at some other steakhouse.

I had the Outback Rib w Asparagus side and Down Under Mule. The ribs fell off the bone, sauce is nice and sweet and the asparagus was rightly grilled. My Down Under Mule was delish! Our server Kaylee, was very nice and accommodating coz I had dietary restrictions and she went out of her way to ask the chef what was acceptable for my diet.
