Awesome little boutique hotel practically on the beach. The staff is super polite and professional, and the location is spectacular. The food is great!! We can't wait to return to Sol 2!
Playa Escondida is one of Mexico's hidden gems. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, the food is amazing and the beach is heaven - what a hotel! We had massages in their spa which were lovely and so peaceful. Choose Bungalow 1 for a room with adventure as it is all open outdoors! The Margaritas are amazing, and the yoga in the mornings with Maya is a must! She is wonderful. Would recommend again and again.
Let me start by saying that Playa Escondida is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. I have traveled pretty extensively and I was beyond impressed with every single person we met there. This page is for the restaurant reviews so I'll stick to that aspect here. The food and drinks were great! I'm big on ceviche which I ordered multiple times while there, always very fresh and spicy. They have a range of mexican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as international fare for each meal. The view from the seating for the restaurant can't be beat: palm trees, sand, the ocean, and the best sunset in all of sayulita (it sets directly in front of the beach). Having fresh salsa, guacamole, tortilla chips, and a fresh mango margarita pool/beach side everyday was also pretty heavenly. The service in the restaurant is great, super friendly and extremely attentive. Can't wait to go back!
This place is simply Amazing. It's not easy to find, we took a cab from our hotel at Villa Del Palmar Flamingos our driver said he knew the way, WRONG. But after asking the locals who told us to turn right and the abandoned Corona...More
