Bidrage med feedbackWe have been trying out restaurants in SLP for a week and so far this is the best. Attractive atmosphere, professional service. Full bar, nice wine list. Everything we ordered was fine, especially the mushrooms.
I liked this place they have a very formal setting. There is no dress code requirement, but definitely formal. The food is excellent , we tried paella, croquetas, fabada. The service was great too. Will go back for sure
The atmosphere and the service were great. The food was a terrible disappointment. The paella was barely edible and actually had cut up hot dogs in it. The crab was not fresh, and had a pinhead of meat in two of the miniature claws. I couldn't find the interior of the clams.....lost somewhere in the sticky rice.My friend's tornado steak was a bland circle of beef with a lumpy sauce. The Ceaser salad was concocted at the table. The dressing was tasty, but it was poured ....... in a lage quantity......over iceberg lettuce. It was similiar to Ceaser soup. The bread is their best feature. There is no excuse for the poor quality of food served by this restaurant. Others may have had a good meal, but my dinner was unacceptable. I live in San Miguel Allende, Mexico and I thought the price of the meal was more then excessive for such a poor presentation....when compared to San Miguel restaurants. I certainly will never patronize this pretentious place again.
This is a classic, old world style, dining excursion with elegant service and excellent food. I had the pork shank and the meat literally fell of the bone. A knife was not needed. If you enjoy a quiet, old fashioned dining room, attentive service and classic Mexican and Continental dishes this is a must i San Luis Potosi.
Went on a Sunday with a reservation for 5:30 (it closes at 7). Arrived early (5). Sat immediately in the entry dining room (restaurant has several side rooms). Band was playing (5 people) too loudly. When they finished a pianist started in the bar area which was far nicer. Service is good but we felt rushed, maybe due to the early closing time? Ordered a margarita (excellent) and a shot of tequila (came a tomato juice chaser). For starters two shared the Caesar Salad, mixed at the table, but actually mixed two tables away. It was not great with limp lettuce. The other starter was the Apple, Walnut, Cranberry, Lettuce Salad - it was OK. One of us ordered the Cream of Artichoke Soup (recommended by another TA reviewer) - creamy but just OK. Before the soup was finished, two of the entries arrived. The Mustard Chicken and a Garlic chicken. The soup eater was just starting the soup. Unbelievable! When the soup was done, the second Garlic Chicken arrived. Deep fried, over cooked, full of chicken skin parts, too tough to eat accompanied by more deep fried potato pieces. The waiter said the chicken was a filet sliced - not, it was a mix of pieces and some of them, beside being tough, were almost burnt from being deep fried too long. The other garlic chicken entry was not much better. Could not finish either. The Mustard Chicken was not much better. The waiter offered a replacement dish but that was too late in the meal to be acceptable. It is a gorgeous restaurant venue but the food let us down and we will not return.
