Tonita's Mexican Food - San Luis Obispo

Great house-fried chips and house-made salsa! Good value combo plate. My wife and I could hardly finish the 3 enchilada plate, which included rice and beans. Too bad their fountain drink machine was broken! And they had bottled Coke, but not Diet Coke. Great patio dining over a creek.

Handily the best Mexican restaurant in the County. Their tortillas are homemade and somehow fresh even when you order at 2am. The salsa selection is excellent, service is brisk and generally cheerful and I've yet to try a menu item that didn't hit me like a freight train from flavortown. Not everyone's favorite, because weakness exists in this world and must be purged by those strong enough to purchase a burrito when God himself is not awake to stop you. Sort of pricey for a taqueria and parking can get tricky, but well worth it for the food.

My beef and chicken tacos were great. My friend didn't love her wet burrito but IDK why those exist tbh ?Service was great and the spot is very cozy serving fresh salsas.

Maybe we ordered the wrong things but the food reminded us of Idaho Mexican food. Vegetarian options: Happy they had vegetarian options.

The meat had no flavor and the chips were too hard and overcooked ....
