Hennessey's Tavern

After attending the Goin ' Native Butterfly Festival at Los Rios Park nearby, me my Deaf friends decided we 'd grab lunch here. We tried to be patient with the tired, overworked, too-few-in-number waitstaff here. But my two female friends had to wait longer while me and the only other male in our party were served sooner. That 's NOT OK!!! Get this: the dining room was mostly empty while we were here for more than 2 hours! Service here is no good. Food quality varies A LOT depending on what you get. My Deaf friends all chose to get sandwiches. The chips that came with said sandwiches tasted quite burnt to ALL of us (I did try a couple of 'em after the others said it was OK). The salad I got was D-lish But until service here improves, NONE of us are coming back! WE HAVE A TRAIN TO CATCH! HELLO! That train won 't wait for nobody. It gives like 5 seconds to get on or off except on super-crowded days like 8/5/23.

Went to Hennessy?s Tavern, which is located in the ?? of San Juan Capistrano for the 1st time last night. It?s located in the cutest and oldest area known for swallows (the birds) and one of the oldest missions ever built in CA. Back to the tavern?. Large capacity inside as well as an outside seating Good menu with typical food?burgers, fries and chicken tenders which is nice. The bartenders make a good cocktail. At times , there?s Live entertainment Would I go again?? For sure I would

Awesome spot for breakfast and sightseeing. The food was fresh, staff very helpful and some affordable prices.

I would had given this place 5stars but there was certain things I believe that needs to improve. I came here about a week ago on my birthday with my bf and kids. We were told we could sit anywhere we?d like so we sat where we could have some shade but table was not cleaned up plates and cups were still there, we figured someone would come to clear it and start taking our order or at least our drinks(20 mins later) my bf had to go ask the bartender at the bar if we had to put the order with him. There was this young lady(waitress) walking around but would not bother to help us and seemed to just avoid us. Anyways, the bartender was able to have someone come to our table and clean it, as well as to take our order. Tyler was our server that day, very friendly and answered some questions in food choices since it was our first time there. Let just say our food choices were flavorful, although our steak was a little undercooked it still had flavor and my drink too. I had an Irish coffee and finished with rose wine. The kids enjoyed their food as well. My bf had their Hennessey?s burger. Tyler was attentive throughout our lunch/dinner. We definitely enjoyed our dessert which was a chocolate fudge brownie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Thank you Tyler for your service YOU get 5stars and when we go back will definitely ask for you!

Do you feel like your 20? During the week it is very low key and a great place to take a drink on the covered terrace. During the holiday weekend, prepare yourself ready to hang the energy and party it up to 2 o'clock at least what it feels as 30 a little year old, try to hang the entire party vibes with just a touch of morning after repentance??
