Distrito Federal - San Jose

The chicken and pork tacos were fantastic. Beef was a bit dry but still good. Quesadillas were very good. My son and his wife had something else and they both were pleased. The margaritas were good. They have gluten free options but not marked on the menu. Beware the menu was not translated to English and no one at the counter seemed to speak English.

We got in Costa Rica few days ago and tried many restaurants. Distrito Federal (knows as DF) in Santa Ana town center is one of the best restaurant in the area. Our plan was to try different places to experience different local food and learn more about cuisine culture here, after experiencing many other places we ended up saying DF is something different and we ended up stop experiencing and stick to DF for rest of our trip. This place has very friendly and professional staff as well and each day they surprised us with something new. Francisco, Fiorera, Sharon and Omar work in this place and they are very friendly, professional and surprised us each time with something new and yummy. I believe owner of this restaurant is lucky to have them running his business. See some photos

Real mexican taste food not found anywhere else in Costa Rica. I love it.

Amazing spot in a safe place for a lunch of dinner. Great Mexican taste with fair prices. Try Tacos or the Azteca Soup for a no miss chance of enjoying a good meal. House made hot sauce avail as well.
