Manos En La Masa - San Jose

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life! The location is adorable, the food is INCREDIBLE and the coffee is wonderful! All the bread is handmade and truly melts in your mouth. The resbrunch hongos comes with the bread, eggs, amazing salas and mushrooms. They also bring you out a small cup of fresh fruit with yogurt to start! I can't recommend this place enough!

First the good: amazing food. Probably the best French toast and chocolate pancakes l had . Perfectly flavored with a mysterious scent that l guessed to be orange flowers essence Home made red berries jam. Then the bad: Starting with the place: sad, dark, depressing Not any warmth, not an inch of willingness to stay more than the time needed to eat The service is equally, sad, bad and dark. Waitresses seems to be suffering from ongoing depression, not to say that a tray will help them to avoid bringing the coffee cups one by one Even asking an extra empty plate, became an issue Conclusion, don’t go there to enjoy the time you eat. Order a take away, pay the bill which is very fair btw

It is always a treat to eat here. The food is amazing, locally sourced, and the staff makes me feel at home. Best Sourdough in San José! The barista makes the best coffee!

Had a great breakfast burger here; could use some more seasoning though. Other than that the French toast was alright. The menu mentioned it came with maple syrup but the restaurant didn't have any so they substituted with a basic syrup. Service was a little slow but I wasn't in a hurry.

I have been before in this place but the much I had some days ago, confirmed they are overrated and the quality of vegetarian food is poor: not tasty and not creative. Also I think is expensive. There is other good options in Barrio Escalante for a very good vegetarian dishes for lunch with better prices.
