El Garaje De Brosed - San Jose

Delicious food every weekday. My husband and I have a 2 week stay at Villas Palmas Resort Dec 24, 2017 Jan 7, 2018); during one of our walks around the neighbourhood we discovered this gem of a restaurant. Beautiful 'backyard garden ' family restaurant. We met Rocío, and her 2 sons Miguel, José chef); her husband makes the churros. Javier, who served us each time, is also extremely friendly. A very nice gentleman. It is open Monday Friday, 11am 5pm in a business district, less than a 5 minute walk from Villas Palmas. When not doing excursions, we ate there as often as we could, i.e. 4 times 3 times this week alone). Good portions, great prices $20 USD for a meal for 2). The seafood casserole was the most expensive we paid, but only 8,636 colones $15USD) and worth every penny. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the San Jose area Villas Palmas Resort and Best Western Irazu Hotel Casino are very close). Excellent customer service at this unassuming, private restaurant. A highlight of our dining experiences in Costa Rica.
