Chubbs - San Jose

We were walking around today and happened across this place. We decided to stop in for a snack and a drink. We were very pleased with the place. It was casual and friendly with a nice selection of food and daily specials. The service was prompt and friendly. We will go back and try having a meal here sometime, but for now I am impressed. We had the special which was a seafood soup with rice and it was very tasty, filled with fresh seafood and very reasonable.

Nice seating, hot food, taste is ok but more American than I wanted. If you want to watch the sports games and drink Imperial, then it's fine for you.

The food was okay and very affordable. Good beer selection and they have a full bar. I got the turkey club sandwich and some wings, both were alright, nothing special, but for the price and a quick bite you can't complain too much. Only thing I can say wasn't to my tastes was the mayo on the club sandwich; just wasn't for me.

This place is like going home, I don't come here often, but my experience here has been really good. Food is really good, beer is always chill. It's a great place to go at any hour and kitchen is opened until midnight!! Service is usually great!!!
