Truya Sushi - San Jose

Delicious food and great service. We weren't told they were closing early. We didn't feel rushed to finish up our meal before closing. Unlike at Yuri Sushi restaurant. It's happened there multiple times. The advertise closing time 9:30 it even states it on the door. You walk in and they won't serve you! I refuse to go back. Employees Truya have never done this before. That's how you run and stay in business.

We had Oyako Donburi Chicken, onion, mushroom and egg. Garlic noodles and a California roll all good.

I went out for a birthday dinner, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, allowing for great conversation. Our server was quick, efficient, and friendly. They offered an excellent variety of dishes, including tempura and sashimi. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Overall, the entire experience was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend this place. The only downside was the menu descriptions; it had been a long time since my last sushi dinner, so I needed some guidance. Thankfully, the server was very helpful.

The food was excellent and fairly priced for Japanese cuisine. Even with my customizations for each item in the order, everything was prepared precisely as I requested.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, but the 3-star rating made me hesitant. However, since their nearby competitors aren’t on Grubhub, I decided to give it a shot! Please note that this review focuses solely on the food. Here’s what we ordered: Bento Box (Salmon Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki, and California Roll), Salmon Teriyaki with brown rice, Chicken Teriyaki, and a Shrimp Tempura Roll. Both the salmon and chicken were perfectly cooked—moist and full of flavor. The Shrimp Tempura Roll and California Roll were among the best I've had in a long time. As the saying goes, “Don’t knock it until you try it!” I'm giving this place a solid 4 stars! I may not have tasted all the fancy rolls that some people have complained about, but everything we had was spot on for my taste. I'll definitely dine in next time to provide an update on the service and atmosphere.
