Bidrage med feedbackThe staff here is lovely and the sushi as well. There are so many rolls to choose from and they are all delicious! I've been taking my time working through the menu. I lost my favorite local sushi place during quarantine and I'm happy to say I've found a replacement
The sushi at this restaurant is delicious and the teishoku options are also tasty. The service is a bit slow, but that could be due to being short-staffed. It is understandable considering the current employment issues affecting the restaurant industry as a whole.
I tend to give either 5-star or 1-star reviews, and this restaurant's sashimi impressed me with its freshness and size, earning it a 5-star rating for the food. However, I would have given the entire restaurant the same score if I hadn't been dining alone. I felt that the service was lacking, scoring a 3-star rating due to its robotic nature and lack of interaction. The interior design and atmosphere received a 4-star rating for being new and clean, but the music was a major letdown, earning only 1 star for playing the same 4-minute song on a loop. The bathroom was decently clean but showed signs of age and received a 2-star rating. Ultimately, the most important aspect, the food, was excellent with nicely cut meat, earning a 5-star rating. I suggest focusing on improving service and music to elevate the overall dining experience. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and thank the restaurant for their efforts.
My new go-to Japanese restaurant in the South Bay! From what I could tell, the chef seemed to be Japanese and the food was more or less authentic. I enjoyed my set lunch with sashimi and tempura. The sashimi was some of the best I've had in the Bay Area outside of SF (perhaps SF has comparable places). The tempura was also good, but fairly typical American vegetables (I will always find broccoli tempura weird). The restaurant was relatively quiet for lunch, and I found the service to be good for the most part. Near the end, we were waiting quite a bit for someone to pick up our check. For the food you get, it was a bit on the pricier side, but not sure if that's also some combination of Japanese food being trendy, local market pricing, and inflation.
The service at this restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious. Unfortunately, they do not offer bento boxes on weekends. I recommend trying the Miyakko Teishoku as it is a good choice. I also tried the roll with lemon for the first time and it was a pleasant surprise.
