La Playita - San Jose

Rita has been cooking for this community for over 40 years! Rain or shine, through the ups and downs of life, she has shared her culinary talents as a form of ministry. I truly believe that her food nourishes both my stomach and my soul. And to top it off, it's also very affordable! Thank God for Rita and the food at this restaurant. And for her son and everyone else involved. Goodbye and Happy New Year to all, as we have God on our side.

This restaurant is fantastic. I have been dining here for years and always enjoy a delicious meal. The staff and owners are wonderful. I highly recommend dining at this family-owned restaurant instead of a corporate chain. Everything on the menu is delicious!

I didn't realize this restaurant was here, but I decided to try their breakfast burrito with chorizo and egg. It was absolutely delicious, just the right size, and only $7!

I read one review here with a person saying the food here was tasteless. They are probably used to the overly salty Burrito Factory stuff. The Chile Verde here at Playitas is amazing. I have lived in San Jose since the 70's and grandmas ChilI Verde here is the best. But i like everything on the menu. Not many traditional small mexican resteraunts left in San Jose anymore. There used be so many everywhere.

Both the food and the service were excellent tonight. I had the enchiladas, and they were to die for.
