Antica Trattoria La Volpe

What a nice, we walked in late at night. The owners are really nice. Hospitality tipico Italiano. A drink and a really good meal! Go there.

The trattoria looks a bit outdated and unkept from the outside and even more on the inside. Authentic probably summerizes the appearances best. However, the staff is friendly and speaks decent English. The menu is typical Bellonese with pasta and fowl/deer/rabbit offerings. The pricing is very reasonable. If you 're looking for genuinely local food experience I would recommend the Volpe. The kids were a bit put off by the lack of pizzas but didn 't mind tasting something out of the ordinary.

Italy is well known by its food but this place is a real gem! Amazing food at very reasonable prices and lovely environment. We've been to La Volpe twice during our stay in San Gregorio nelle Alpi and Barbara made us feel like home, very helpful and friendly. All dishes tasted great but the rustic antipasto with cheeses and other cold cuts produced locally is a must. We are already looking forward to come back!
