Trattoria U Vettare Du Merrutte

If you happen to be near Campobasso in Molise, make a visit to the small town, San Giovanni in Galdo, where you will be treated to the best homemade food! We stayed there for 10 days and every day, we were served an outstanding meal of pasta, meat, fish, pizza fritta, antipasti or whatever was on the menu that day. What a treat to eat so well and at a small price. And the cook and her husband are the kindest people who welcome you warmly and are wonderful to get to know. There is inside and outside dining, both comfortable and charming. I wish I could go back right now to eat more of the delicious food there!

I visited San Giovanni in Galdo to research some family heritage and came across Trattoria U vettare du Merrutte. I loved everything about this restaurant, from the ambiance, to the hosts/chefs, to the incredible food. The owners were wonderful people and even helped me (a lot) with some of my family research. But the topper was the food it was absolutely incredible. I can't wait to go back!

My review is super positive because you eat well, the food is fresh and cooked in the best way. Un po' difficile da trovare ma ne vale la pena...indiscutibile qualità e anche la pasta fatta in casa è confezionata poco prima del servizio!! Va bene!
