Bidrage med feedbackA very unexpected treat It's in a shopping centre in a typical shopping centre food court but the quality of the food is exceptional Presentation is lovely Beware the portion sizes are big and would easily be enough for 2 I had half sea food soup /Cazuela half fried white fish with rice and Patacones and an avocado salad Would love to go again
My family live there and I came to San Gil for a visit and always we go to this restaurant in the San Gil plaza mall. This time unfortunately the food wasn't good we order Cazuela de Bag re, Pargo Salsa marinera And Jaivas. The first two plates were All yellow And tasting The same. The jaivas had a sour milk taste. We told The waittress that we were very unpleased and anyways they charge us the full bill around 200.000 Colombian pesos Nobody from management were There to take care of us. Very sad. I won't come back and neither my family
Finding somewhere nice to eat has always been a challenge to us, as regular travelers to San Gil, so finding this place was a pleasant surprise. I understand from the waiter that there are two Juan Mar restaurants. I am reviewing the one in the centro commercial San Gil which is just outside town on the main road to Socorro. The restaurant is situated on the fourth floor and is open on the side facing the mountain so you get a great view, cooling breeze and depending where you sit and time of day a lot of sun ! It has a very Caribbean feel with lounge style music that I loved. Makes a change from vallenato ! I had the langostinos encocados which are jumbo shrimp coated in shredded coconut and deep fried. Fantastic !! My partner had a small cazuela of mariscos....a shellfish casserole. Again, very good ! I had a couple of mojitos to wash it down, first was ok but second a bit sweet. Shame because I wanted to give them five stars. I recommend this place to anyone who likes well prepared seafood and is prepared to pay a little more. As an appetizer, they served us complementary patacones with homemade mayonnaise and tomato sauces both of which were excellent. The menu is quite varied and they have pasta dishes for those that don't fancy seafood
Good service, Caribbean style sea food with a great Santander mountains view... The Sea Food Parrillada and Jaivas al ajillo were very tasty... I will come back...
A very tasty place full of flavors. Special dishes... fish. But there are poultry and beef found. Take time to spend... The food is freshly prepared, so it is not a fast food service. Price is not bad for the product. Service is great.
