Prospect - San Francisco

If not for very weak service, my review would have been much stronger. It started off well with a very attentive server. However, midway through the meal, she disappeared. I had finished my meal and saw her talking with other customers across from me while I sat there with dirty plates for at least 19 minutes. Finally, after I got someone's attention, the maitre d came over and cleared my plates. She told me my server had to leave unexpectedly. She got huffy when I told her I had just seen her a few feet from my table. Despite that, the food was excellent, and the almost-sommelier was great.

We have been their with our family a couple of times and in both cases everyone loved their meal and drinks. I have been fortunate enough to visit Prospect a few other times with the same result......exquisite service and food. With my family it is almost never the case that all six of us likes everything but at Prospect everyone loves everything both times and individually I have always experienced the best service and food. I highly recommend Propsect and is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

The waitress did not listen to my order and my boyfriend and I were waiting for 15 minutes for my entree that was never entered into the system. The atmosphere here is really inappropriate. One of the waitresses flirted with my boyfriend when I was away from the table. This is very inappropriate and the staff should be trained to serve food and that's it!!!

Service was wonderful... food was amazing, especially the apps/snacks including the milk bread, Brussels were delicious... our entrees were super, we got the filet and the halibut and both were impressive

Wonderful dinner to celebrate a birthday at Prospect. The wine and cocktail selections are on point and a great way to start off the meal. Starters and mains have lots to choose from and are all satisfying, thoughtful and delicious. Great experience all around!
