Proper Patio Lounge - San Francisco

I only made a reservation for a drink and snack, but the server insisted that we had to order 4 appetizers as this was their minimum directive for two people. We stayed just an hour and ate half an appetizer and a cocktail. They have instructed us for three more appetizers that we did not take, as our next place did not allow outside the food. It was very unpleasant to say the least. They didn't have our table ready when we arrived and then moved us to a second table because they sat next to the door.

Nice food and average atmosphere, but the prices are exorbitant for an average dining experience.

We had a great meal at the Patio pop up at the Proper hotel. I am a big fan of Villon and was curious to see what they have done with outside seating. The patio looks great. The food was innovative and delicious we kept ordering more. And the servers could not have been nicer.

The dishes and drinks are fantastic. The best shells I've had for a long time. Burrata with mussels?! Yes! The Broccoli wheel is also amazing. The walking tables were heated thanks to Covid! I also love the cool ambience. Nice room.

They do not allow us to order drinks unless each person ordered two appetizers and/or a starter and a meal. I didn't drink, so I was good. But my friends were unhappy.
