Bidrage med feedbackI had a salad with shrimp. It was hard to find any of the advertised vegetables. The shrimp were very small and only a few.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it was so good! Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in San Francisco
Had a late lunch and we must have caught them at the wrong moment because the service was horrible. I had to beg them for a menu then wait 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Food was very good though.
We went to Doppio Zero on the evening of an SF symphony event along with an adjacent SF ballet happening the same evening. As expected there is a huge wait for walk-ins, bustling crowd and families in the Hayes restaurant strip. Fortunately we had a reservation and was seated by the hostess. Overall the restaurant experience felt rushed as it didn’t feel intimate enough to enjoy dinner without the sense that we have to finish our meal in order to get the next reserved spot open. There’s a balance to this and that evening we felt transactional vs a paying customer who wants to enjoy quality food and service. The food was amazing but the experience left us unsatisfied The service was good, although when we ordered an appetizer of prosciutto burrata, it did not come with a side of bread. Upon asking a server when we flagged someone, they responded questioning if we wanted bread with it overall which was odd and unfortunate. Ambiance is packed and crowded- shoulder to shoulder seating so conversation can be heard on each end. There is outdoor seating but we opted indoors (the hostess upon arriving mentioned we were assigned outside but i requested indoors and she was able to accommodate).
The food was very good, but the service was rushed. The food arrive quickly and once a plate was empty, they rushed int take it away. Our granddaughter had one slice of pizza left on her plate and they wanted to take it away. We had to stopped them since others in the group wanted to try the pizza.
