Bidrage med feedbackI love this place! I lkve around the corner so this is my go-to coffee spot. Yes, some portions are smaller than some of the chain businesses in the area, but they are perfectly satisfying. Macaroons are fabulous, and the gelatin looks amazing. The lady who runs the place is very sweet, and sometimes you'll see her cute toddler son playing around the store (tips are labeled as going to his college fund). This is my favorite weekend breakfast spot!
Amazing! This is a great little place. I stopped in twice within three days while I was in the area. The gelato and sorbets are delicious, the flavors are unique and unexpected. Love the Thai iced tea and black sesame, as well as the honey chrysanthemum. The owner is very nice and their baked desserts look good, though they did seem a bit pricey. I only had gelato because the weather was pretty warm.
They have exquisite macarons and very interesting Asian-inspired desert flavors. The sea salt fudge brownie was just perfect, the ice cream and sorbets had surprisingly powerful flavor; I didn't dare taste the licorice ice cream... all made fresh in-house. Definitely a desert place to stop at when you are near pier 39.
We came here for some afternoon delight. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed by a big chalk board with menu selection and sample desserts so you know what they look like and exactly what you are getting. I really appreciate that! They don't have much seating, just 1 counter seating on 1 side, and 1 table seating on the other side. They have gelato, mini cakes, macaron, and varieties of baked goods. They all looked really cute and really tasty! And the size were all rather small, but that is good when you want just a little bite of something, or when you want to try several different flavors. The sample ones were all very well made, with quality and care, really nice presentation. We got a couple of mini cakes, and they were moist, dense, rich, and the topped with smooth, velvety cream...very good!!! We also got ourselves Mocha Chip and Goat Cheese Apricot gelato, and they were really good too. The mocha had really strong, solid flavor, which was really great, and the goat cheese apricot was something that I never tasted before. It was really nice, creamy, and packed with flavor. It was cheesy without being too heavy, and the it brought up the flavor of fresh apricot pieces. We were happy with our afternoon delights, and the girl who was working there was nice and helpful as well. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.
All the pandan, none of the pretense. I started coming eight years ago and I'm thrilled to find it still exists. Exciting southeast and east Asian gelato sorbet flavors made lovingly by an adorable couple because that's their jam, not because it's fancy or exotic. Not what I expect near fisherman's wharf in the best way.
