Base Camp Nepal - San Francisco

Went here with my family to celebrate my birthday. They aren't always open to new cuisines but every dish here was delicious!! The pork belly, lamb skewers and chow mein were especially a hit. Also highly recommend trying the Roti. The staff was super accommodating given we were a party of 6 and kept ordering more food. We ordered 4 appetizers and 3 entries, and it was the perfect amount. Everyone was very happy with the restaurant choice and said it was worth the drive from the East Bay!

We had an awful experience-arriving a bit early for our 7 pm reservation, we finished eating and had paid the check by about 7:45. We were asked to leave at 7:52 because they needed the table-claiming that we had been there for more than 2 hours. It was my birthday dinner. We will NEVER EVER EVER go back!

I've been meaning to try Base Camp for a while and it didn't disappoint. Everything we tried was excellent, and we appreciated the reasonably priced good wines, a rare find these days.

It was the first time at Base Camp. Very good service and wonderful food. Great for a group; we got to try multiple small plates, so we got a good taste of the menu. We would gladly go back.

The kale chaat, pork momos, and cashew curry were excellent.
