Tacos El Patron San Francisco

Basically the platonic ideal of Mexican food. Their birria is better than I thought birria could be, ultra tender meat with a beautiful consomme that we ended up drinking out of the cup. Free chips, beans, onions, and nopal with an assortment of excellent salsas tie the whole thing together. Service was ultra-friendly, even on a busy Friday night. Definitely a must-try spot in the Mission.

Street parking around the area, might be crowded, might not be really depends on your luck. Inside there are a decent amount of tables and chairs and it could be quite crowded or more empty semi regardless of the time you come. You order at the counter and then can sit down or wait. This place is a SF Gem. Great service, delicious tacos. I love there variety of salsas and FREE chips refills. The 2 young lady cashiers are sweet and helpful. Restroom available as well.

Authentic Mexican food that this Mexicana approves of! The birria tacos were divine and the spices they incorporated blended well with the natural tenderness of the meat. I also really liked how you can add nopales to any two tacos free of charge. The shrimp ceviche tostada was a little soggy either the ceviche was too wet or the tostada shell was too thin to carry the weight. Still, flavor was good and the shrimp tasted and smelled fresh and that's what counts! I thought

Taco is ordered by ea, and if the order is over 2 and more you will be served chips and salsa for free. My experience was that I had refill of chip and salsa for free as well! Birria taco is great and quesadillas with meat taste great too. Restroom is available in the restaurant. Street parking is not that difficult to find. No long line to get served in peak hours on Saturday.
