Bidrage med feedbackThis is a very belated review. I have had their food at a few local events in San Francisco last year, including their sushi platters and sesame noodles. The food is extremely fresh tasting, the presentation is beautiful, and I don't know of any other caterers in the Bay Area that offer kosher sushi platters, so they definitely win out in the originality department. All in all, no complaints here. PS. Their eggplant nigiri would make you want to go vegan, it's so delicious. I also love how they use mango in their vegetable maki, which is creative and delicious.
We wanted to host a Friday night kiddish at the Mission Minyan for our daughter's doctoral program graduation. Only I was able to attend, and I would be arriving from Connecticut the day before, so everything had to run smoothly. Rebecca at L'chaim Foods far exceeded my hopes. She was a pleasure to deal with on the phone in the weeks before the event. She made excellent recommendations from among their specialties for what we should serve while at the same time meeting my preferences. She gave me flexibility regarding when she would drop off the food. On the day of the event, Rebecca and her delightful son were exactly on time. Here son was a tremendous help in carrying and storing the trays of food. Rebecca gave me easy-to-follow instructions for how to serve everything, and had included whatever I would need to do so. They were so nice. The food: Rebecca made sure no one would go home hungry, so there were leftovers which many guests volunteered to take home. Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared, and obviously fresh. Rebecca had recommended their sesame noodles and I asked for marinated tofu and spinach salad. I provided the drinks and dessert, but if I would't hesitate to have L'Chaim provide those for a more formal occasion. I would use L'Chaim for anything from a small catered home dinner to a large wedding, knowing that the food would be great and Rebecca will have thought of all the details I might miss.
This spot is such a little hidden gem;you haven’t seen anything yet until you come here. They have this specialty dish comes in a steaming hot pot and boils out onto the freshest vegetables and upon noodles you can imagine.
Rebecca provided my family with a delicious, abundant Shabbat dinner when we visited our children in SF recently. It was a pleasure to deal with her, we look forward to ordering from L'Chaim again!
I and my husband have greatly enjoyed working with Rebecca and found her very helpful and organized. Rebecca provided for our Bar Mitzvah event catering service. Not only all food was incredible and very tasty, Rebecca also helped us with menu items and with design ideas for the hall where event would take a place. Moreover, Rebecca took care of table settings and all our guests were very happy with food and atmosphere at the event. I would consider to work with Rebecca in the future and I am very much recommending Rebecca for event catering services.
