Verbena Kitchen - San Diego

Made a reservation a month in advance. Confirmed the night before. Show up with my group and the restaurant was closed with no warning or notice. Emailed management as to why and said they had no reservation notice from Open Table. That doesn’t explain why the restaurant was closed during their normal business hours anyway

I had reservations for today, April 30th, at 12:30 pm. Showed up to the restaurant with my guests, on time, after finally finding parking, and the restaurant is closed!!! Unbelievable.

The drinks were fantastic. I got something with passionfruit and would have it again 10 x over. Food was a little pricey for portion, but that's almost everywhere. Service was amazing, our waitress was awesome. The atmosphere was great for carrying on a conversation, and the chairs were stylish and comfy.

In San Diego for a conference, we were fortunate to find a spot at Verbena Kitchen during Restaurant Week. The food was imaginative and delicious, and we really liked the vibe. Our group of 4 (2 in their 20s, 2 in their 60s) all had a really positive experience.

Music level could be lowered and it would be nice if they kept doors closed on a’cild day. But the Dr things don’t detract from the fact that our breakfast was delicious and we savored and enjoyed every morsel.
