The Asian Bistro - San Diego

There are weeks when I am up late into the night and get very hungry. Nothing in my fridge seems to satisfy. That's how I decided to set out and find late night eats in San Diego which are specifically open during the week until 3:00pm. Last week I tried Golden Dragon on University upon recommendation of a bartender. I was surprised and went back a second time during the week at a normal hour. My first visit there happened to be after 11:00pm on a weekday when many restaurant kitchens are closed. Astonishingly the place was filled to half capacity. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef. Ordering a number five rating of spice was too much for a late night dinner. I loved the flavor however and went back the next evening at 9:00pm. The place had a good number of people and the service was quicker. I ordered the same entrée but this time reduced the spice rating to number two and added some extra veggies to my plate. It was perfect! They had a few other good options in the form of salads, duck, stir fry's, etc. I would go back to this place the next time I want some Asian food after midnight.
