Bidrage med feedbackFreshness and quality of the food was outstanding however, We had a hard time with the texture of 90% of the items served at the omakase. Too many soft, mushy items served in a row made it very difficult to keep moving forward, I skipped several items which is unfortunate because it was VERY expensive. Even the dessert was a coffee flavored jello/custard type. Their should be a mix of textures and flavors in an omakase, so we were pretty disappointed that their wasn't. The alive, moving shrimp with his tail chopped off was a surprise and made us kind of squeamish to move forward with dinner, since we were already struggling with the texture. the lady at the table next to us actually screamed when she got served her moving shrimp. the Service was great. parking lot is tiny.
What an incredible experience.... Food was off the charts amazing, and each course was a surprise. We were both surprisingly full at the end. Their cold sake menu is pretty extensive with some rare (and expensive) options. They offer beer and hot sake also, but no (western) wine option. There's no way I could pick just one dish as the favorite as each was amazing...even the desert (coffee flavored custard/gelee with a chocolate espresso bean garnish) was amazing. My wife said it was arguably the best dessert she's ever had. Reservations required and fill up fast...Parking: There are only 4 parking spots in the tiny lot available for the restaurant, with adjacent street parking available. The parking lot has 2 additional spots for a printing company that will allow you to park there after 5:30/6pm if you ask nicely. There is no valet parking.
Parking can be a bit of an issue so plan ahead, there is parking close on the street. You should make a reservation, the place is small and has limited seating. The food is very good, comparing it to other sushi restaurants it seems to taste as good or a bit better than most. I would come back when in the area.
This is a good but not great sushi restaurant. The sushi and tempura were good. Service was good. Wine list was very limited. Setting was fine but not special. It’s just not remarkable relative to other sushi restaurants. We expected more for a Michelin starred restaurant.
I came here after learning that this place received a Michelin star! They happened to have a spot open for me. If anyone is curious, the omakase is the same price during lunch as it is dinner $160). I ended up getting the mushroom salad, the TKS Tuna, kampachi, salmon, 2 pc/each total $32), and a tuna cut roll. Very happy with my choices and would come again soon!
