Small - San Diego

Food is always on point, one of the best burgers in town, generous pours. Brunch is a hidden gem and my personal favorite is the darling badass hardworking owner Karen.

I have been a regular at Small Bar for a couple of years now, since becoming a resident in the area two years ago. I have celebrated various occasions at this bar, from first dates to brunches, birthdays, and tap takeovers. Small Bar is by far the most welcoming and enjoyable spot in San Diego. The food is consistently excellent, the drink specials are amazing, and the beer selection is top-notch. The bartenders are always friendly and accommodating, even when we're playing loud music on the jukebox or stumbling through our orders after a few drinks. Plus, they serve corndogs, which is a major bonus. Small Bar has truly become a second home for us, and if we're not there at least once a week, something must be seriously wrong. Huge shoutout to the Small Bar Staff - we appreciate everything you do for us. We love you guys!

Small Bar is awesome. The owner is awesome, the staff is fabulous, and the bar is great. Take some time to try a beer from a great selection, or take down a strong ass cocktail that you won't be sorry you ordered. The food is reeeeally good too. Overall hidden gem. Shhh. Save me a barstool.

I am a grungy beer loving hipster. Even if that weren't the case, this would be my favorite hangout overall. Here are some highlights Jukebox: perfect. Menu: Delicious. Not too expensive, not too cheap. Worth every penny. Staff: fun, sometimes busy, but reliable. Noise level: daytime, negligible. After 5pm, like being at a concert. My kinda volume. Drinks: huge beer selection, not just local brews. All kinds of rad liquor, especially bourbon and whiskey. A good place to hang with friends and run into industry folk. Also a good place if you need to hide in a dark building with A/C. Try the fried pickles with whatever you order.

Had a pretty awesome experience at Small Bar yesterday. Crazy good beer selection and food was amazing. Most impressive the music decor and song selection on the jute box. I'm a huge lover of classic rock metal and punk this place at all! I found myself nerding out looking at all the musicians displayed all over the walls. I even took way to long in the bathroom because my inner photographer couldn't handle how good the selection of rock photography that was plastered all over the walls. You may even find yourself chatting it up with one of the hard working employees and then find out she's the owner! Love the small town charm that Small Bar possesses. I will definitely be going back for more.
