We have a 6 year old who doesn't eat sushi, so this was a great casual spot that we knew would be no frills, quick, and affordable in and out before he got too bored. It doesn't make sense to bring him to an upscale place like Cannonball. The building leaves much to be desired (water stained drop ceiling) but I don't mind hole in the wall places like that. Food and service were both great. I'd go back.
Skip the overpriced sushi at Belmont Park and head over here for great food, great service, and great vibes! We found this place by accident while we were waiting for restaurant, but there was no wait at Mizu so we decided to eat here instead. The first thing we noticed was the menu was way more affordable (and they had more options). The second thing we noticed was the portions were huge! I got the Korean sashimi poke bowl and everyone said it was massive. Absolutely great value and the servers are very friendly—they gave us complementary fruit when the meal was over. I don’t usually post reviews but this place was so good I had to. Definitely coming here again!
We were looking for an Oceanside sushi fix and hit it out of the park at Mizu. Everything was good. We had edemame, a few sushi rolls and teriyaki chicken. The service was awesome, so kind to our daughters and the vibe pretty chill. A great low key spot to eat.
The food here is EXCELLENT. It's a good thing it is because the building needs a lot of help and the restaurant isn't very clean. The food was so good that it made up for it. It's that good! Definitely a hole in the wall situation.Food: 5/5
