Bidrage med feedbackHands down THE BEST SUSHI EXPERIENCE had outside of being in Japan! My wife and I found full moon on Yelp! during a quick trip to San Diego. The reviews seemed promising. The delivery was amazing. Embedded in the heart of the Gaslamp District, the decor, the music, the friendly staff, the mood and energy were in line with our wishes. Our server was phenomenally attentive. Explained the menu points, recommended drinks and got us on appetizers all sitting at the bar within a minute. Her garlic seasoned edamame were delicious. The soup with tofu and large pieces of mushrooms was perfection....not the irrigated fog soup serve most Japanese restaurants. We tried the Off-the-menu Impossible Roll, a perfect layering of grilled eggplants, asparagus, mushrooms, essentially a veggie roller. But what blown my head was how to taste each of the delicate flavors at a time. Every bite delivered another layer of taste, something I still don't understand how they did! From there, nothing but perfection in everything we have ordered. Add to the meal, the personal note of the staff. Each record seemed to be clear within seconds of us to finish something, all very polite and discreet. We had a great time to meet General Manager and co-owner Jaris. He shared his passion for the restaurant and his life journey here. He spent a lot of time chatting with us while he ensured that the staff and other guests were cared for. He ran regular food, checked other guests, made custom birthday desserts, etc. Within the hour and we were there, I feel like we made a good friend. Some places come and go. That was a bit around, and I can't see how this place could not be an integral part of the tissue of everything San Diego has to offer. Every trip to San Diego will include a trip to Full Moon. Thank you. Jaris and all your employees, for a perfect experience!!!
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Did I say WOW?! Hands down, the shaved oysters here are in a league of their own and were incredible. The cook made a phenomenal job with the taste profile that increases the oysters. I will not spoil the surprise, you have to order it and be enlightened yourself! You pay a premium price for this experience, so ready to pay $40 for 8 oysters. The sushi here was very fresh. They were thin-cut paper and placed on a bed of crushed ice to keep them extra fresh. We ordered the Blue Fin Usuzukuri $28) and Salmon Usuzukuri $21), each with 8 thin pieces and presented with a series of blows. If you have stacked them, they are about 2-3 normal slices of Sashimi. Definitely not cheap, but so incredibly fresh! The Salmon Rose appetizer was a beautiful work of art by slightly supposed salmon wrapped in the form of a rose. It was almost too nice to eat, but at $27 for 2, we swore them. The Lachs Carpaccio was another dish we tried, also delicious, $20. If you have never tried Japanese plum wine, you have to try. Just a warning it's on the sweeter side. We loved everything our waiter Justin brought out. He really took care of us. I recommend this place for a romantic evening or a special occasion. It is very cozy and is the place you want to go to make a great impression! My guy has good...
Reserve here! This place seems as if it were simple, but a reservation was much easier than waiting for a table. We were located and our server was really nice and happy! We ordered the third quarter of Roll, Sailor Moon, Waxing Gibbous and the three orders of the Skallop with Uni. The scallops first came to serve you individual dishes so that everyone gets their own. This was my first time with university, and it tasted very like the sea. I cannot justify whether his good university or not, as this was my first time, but it tasted very authentic and creamy. The scallop was also very nice, I wish they added more of the Wasabi. Then our sushi rolls came in, which did not last too long. They all came right away. The sushi roles are generally smaller or at least smaller than what I saw in many other Japanese restaurants that they all bite practically. All sushi reels were really delicious, and it seems that the Sailor Moon is our best choice. Waxing Gibbous was the strongest of the three, and the third quarter was also beautiful. We would definitely select the Sailor Moon Roll again! The atmosphere was great and a bit higher than a regular Japanese restaurant. We definitely enjoyed our experience here!
Seriously some of the best sushi I had in San Diego. Very creative, different roles. We ordered: Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice: 10/10New Moon: 10/10 Spices Tuna Role: 7/10Milky Way: 100/10 That was such a different role I would not normally have ordered, but it was incredible that the tuna melted in your mouth Third Quarter: 10/10 Rose: 100/10 our waiter recommended to begin this and I am so happy that we have ordered it.. I am not the largest salmon fan, but it was unrealistic At the top of amazing food, the service was great. We had a reservation at 8:30 a.m., but ended at 7:15 (we were boring and hungry), and it ended at 7:45 seats! The mood was also funny, they played Odesza and R
By far the best sushi I've had in San Diego county. The service is quick and the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. We arrived at 5:15 (they open at 5) and we were one of the first people in there but it filled up quickly! I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. They have my favorite sake (3 dots) as well as an assortment of cocktails. This place is definitely an example of quality over quantity. The rolls are on the smaller side but they are SO GOOD! I don't normally like philly rolls but I tried some of my boyfriend's and it was delicious! We got a salmon lemon roll which we both agreed was our favorite roll both of us have ever had. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures (we were too excited to eat) but trust me when I say the food is well worth the !
