Bidrage med feedbackWe came by and thought we could watch the end of the padres game and enjoy a lunch. When we arrived, we quickly realized that there were no TVs. Oh, good! The setting and the food was great, the service was so and the prices were what we would expect for food, but the lemonade and iced tea seemed a bit on the high side. My wife shared the Patty Melt with my recent and updated by the house chips in French Pommes $2 add on) and they both liked the sandwich and pommes. My daughter ordered the BLTA with the house chips and she liked them both. I ordered the Encontro Burger and it was good, but not good would I say a burger of The Habit is 1/3 the cost and tastes better. I chose the salad instead of chips and it was just a bunch of Arugula with 4 cherry tomatoes, a few pickled onion and a small piece of dressing. Overall, it is a nice place to eat in North Park. But if you read gastropub, don't think it's a sports bar. The food is good, but in my opinion you pay for the location more than the quality of food.
Great place for dinner! We were two people and have three apps and it was enough for us! The corn dogs, Ahi Tuna Tacos and pig sleds are delicious! You also have a great drink menu with a section for sours and lemons I was impressed with!
Happy Hour is 5 stars for a big beer and wine selection, not a hard alcohol on the menu. That was okay with me, but some people don't like this choice. Elote Fries were killers, big tastes and crispy pommes! Tuna tostaditos with seaweed up was the winner for me, they have them in mini-tacos on the menu as well!
Amazing meal and exceptional service! The owner came out and personally greeted us and recommended the fresh bread that was warm and delicious! The chickens and waffles were perfect. Chicken was crispy and spicy and the waffles were hot and buttery! Absolutely an experience!
Fairly unsatisfactory. You?d expect a restaurant to put out a decent burger. Especially considering the prices. $20 for a burger and fries. (Fries are a $3 upgrade) I got cold fries and very dry room temp not warm bun. The Cardiff crack that they touted didn?t taste anything like going to Seaside market and getting the actual Cardiff crack. The environment was good though and it?s certainly nice place. The waiter provided okay service, though I didn?t have a chance to complain as it took a little second for him to come back around and I was already way too hungry to wait or approach the waiter in the restaurant. All in all, certainly not worth the price if this is the sort of food they put out. This was my second time here. The first was a few years ago and honestly not memorable. It was only until we sat down that I remembered coming here before.
