Bidrage med feedbackA nice antique building, gigantic margaritas and a delicious fondue. Very pleasant restaurant and great food. We will be back soon.
I liked the atmosphere and design of the restaurant El Paraiso but I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about it because we had a nice dinner but nothing too extraordiannary. The wine-list is quite poor and the menu isn't very innovative. We ordered chicken tortillas (simple but good) and a plate of a local choice of meat (sausages and the like) and cheese, which was really huge so we left the restaurant with a doggy bag. Service was really nice.
They owners are from switzerland andspeak also german, the staff only a few spoke english. We stay there also in the Hotel. It was ok. A nice hotel for some nights in the Center.
The skewered beef with onions and peppers are the best in town and the portion is so generous we always have to take half home. It is great to have for a whole other meal (usually tacos). The margaritas are the biggest and watch out, one of them is a super buzz. Wait staff is really superior.
Although Lonely Planet MX makes much of it, this place has nothing special going for it. An odd and small selection of Mexican dishes, some peculiar Swiss Rossi (potato) offerings, soakingly overdressed green salad, and the smallest glass of wine in town.
