Sonny's Pizza Pasta - San Clemente

I dont know why they don't call this place Sonny's Pasta and Pizza. The Pasta was really good. The pizza was not so good. The cheese and sauce was good but it was the dough for me. The dough was like a pastry. It was really interesting but unfortunately for me it was the dough that lowered the star. The pasta I had, had a little kick and tasted great.

Delicious Italian spot. Recommend the Penne Bella and the gnocchi in pesto cream sauce. Staff is attentive and courteous.

Price is okay, wait time is okay, parking is difficult, Atmosphere is very loud, like yelling at the person right next to you to hear anything loud. Very busy. Good location. Highly recommend the cheesy bread appetizer for kids and adults! So good! Alfredo sauce was very delicious. The tea is a bit weird, The stuffed calamari was not overly chewy. The spaghetti squash spaghetti was not nearly as good as how I make ours but was fun to try anyways. I tried the fettuccine Alfredo with broccolini. The broccolini was not yummy and was very hard to bite. I wish normal broccoli was the option. The Alfredo was very good though. The time between going in, ordering drinks, ordering food and then getting food was all extremely spaced out. We arrived at 5:15 and did not leave until 8pm and that was just getting through those 4 steps, so expect to spend some time here if you have a big party. Front inside entrance is not handicap accessible but there was a back entrance that might have been (not certain). Seating is outdoors and indoors. Cute decorations, very kind staff. Happy Eating!

This is by far the best place to eat local in San Clemente. Great food, great staff, huge portions and a fantastic atmosphere. Family and kid friendly but also romantic. No better place to eat Italian in San Clemente.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. It is a smaller place inside and seating is what id call family style where you may sit right next to another couple or family. We enjoyed our conversation with the folks who sat next to us. Prices were also reasonable. The meatball appetizer, pizza, and caramel cheesecake were awesome. We brought our 2 year old and 4 year old and we felt it was a great place for the kids too. Of course the kids loved the pizza and meatballs too.
