Mongkut Thai - San Clemente

Best Thai restaurant in San Clemente by far. Great location, excellent food, and awesome service. I've been intermittently coming here for 20 years plus and the place is just consistent. The owner Don takes pride in his establishment since 1986. Today, I had the late lettuce wraps, Crying Tiger Salad, and the Curry. All of it is fresh, seasoned perfectly, and best of all it's real authentic Thai cooking. Come and experience this little hole in the wall and you'll leave happy!

Food is always so good every time and no matter what i get!!! i love how many vegetarian/vegan options there are too! plus this place is obviously a san clemente classic since it?s been around for almost 40 years.

They show 5:30 pm for earliest pickup, I put a note in so that I could pick it up at 5:15 pm (on their website) and it was ready right on time. I love their food, and frequent there often!!! Mongkut Thai rocks!!! This was for four people!

Personable friendly staff and the best Thai food. Fresh ingredients, attentive service and the price is right. I?ve enjoyed this restaurant since it opened and it remains my favorite.

First, the service was very good here, and our food came out quickly. Second, the larb pork was good. However, the pad Thai and panang curry were both lacking, especially where meat was concerned. The meat tasted boiled and flavorless. The curry itself was nice, and the pad Thai was seasoned well, otherwise I?d give this 2 stars. It?s a shame, because this was a convenient spot with great reviews. Maybe it was a one-off? I hope so.
