Corno Divino

My wife and I had a fabulous dinner at Restorante Corno Divino last evening. We were greeted by our hostess, Jelena, and the Countess Maria Giulia who did a wonderful dinner for us. I had a beef steak that was perfectly done and my wife’s ravioli was superb. The wine pairings were spot on. If ever we return to Tuscany, this place will be on our must-do list. Very charming, very enjoyable. It's a part of the Tenuta Il Corno complex which is family run. Food is good country fare and excellent.

This restaurant is located in the prestigious Il Corno winery and estate. However, for the quality of the rest of the estate, I expected the restaurant to be much better. Unfortunately a lot of the dishes were over salted. The chef was extremely passionate about the food. They have typical Tuscan dishes. The antipasti of cured meats, was really nicely presented. The pate was very good. The pastas were salty, especially the house smoked ricotta one. Also, I found their truffle pasta to not be served with quality fresh truffles. I cannot comment on the main dishes. The wine selection is excellent, obviously serving Il Corno wines. You can dine inside or outside weather permitting. They have an outstanding view of the Tuscan countryside and San Casciano. There is ample parking.

Tenuta il Corno was recommended by a local and we were very pleased with their wine and the food. Service was also very fine. Pumpkin soups was great. Steak was cooked perfectly.

I had a mixed starter plate for starter and pasta for ”main”. Starters were not fully as good as expected but pasta was really good. Place is located in beautiful hill in Tuscany region
