Yokai Ramen - San Antonio

Simply the best ramen in San Antonio. The broth is always so silky and smooth and their toppings and noodles are always perfectly cooked.

Very clean restraunt. I ordered my food to go, and it's always hot fresh and a big portion. Never had an issue with this place. Way better than other ramen places I've had

Gets 2 stars for being fast, friendly and clean. Food was just okay. We got ramen and with ramen in the name I would have expected better tbh. Broth was pretty bland and just okay. The tonkotsu broth wasn't as fulling or flavorful. Toppings are all the same for almost every bowl which is basically just plain corn and green onions. They give decent portions which is kinda the main positive. The chucken katsu was decent as well. The ramen egg was hugely disappointing which is usually my favorite part... the egg was hard not gooey and med and it was hardly flavorful which was sad. I see several others mentioned the egg was hard and lots of pictures show the egg overcooked as well so I guess that's how they do it. Overall just an okay ramen place. The noodles were nothing special and didn't taste fresh prob just pre-made and warmed up. I know my expectations are high tho since my family is japanese and I've been there several times too. Wish it was better since they charge as much as full service places. I wouldn't recommend or come back.
