Waxy O'connor's Irish Pub - San Antonio

We loved this place! Went while we were in town for a teacher's conference and just happened to be there on a night they had live music....fantastic atmosphere, awesome service, and AMAZING food! I am low-carb and can't have potatoes (I know...why did I go to an Irish pub if I can't have potatoes? and they were very nice about subbing ingredients in my meal. We go every time we're in San Antonio now, even if we're not staying on the Riverwalk!

Great place to go. We get treated very well. Food is good. We come to San Antonio every three months and always make a point to stop by. Will be back in three months.

Had dinner on the patio... view was great... food was delicious... wait staff was attentive without being pushy... price was very reasonable... we will be back!

I just recently had gastric sleeve done and my fiance wanted a bite to eat so we stopped here. His potato wedges and cheeseburger smelled amazing (he says they tasted fantastic, too! They offered to strain their soup of the day for me (mushroom and onion so I could have something yummy, too! I highly recommend this place for anyone! The broth was amazing and they made some for me to take with me back to my hotel! They were attentive, friendly and supportive! The waitress told me they have several people who ask for just the broth of the soup. It's difficult to find places that accommodate people who have had this kind of surgery done so all I have to say is bravo and keep up the great work! I still wish I could have had a bite of that burger though lol!

We just sorta dropped in there on New Years Eve afternoon...cold as , well, you know. Warm Great atmosphere Great Food the waiter, well, was “well seasoned” and just a hoot. He recommended a great draft and the food was excellent. We only wanted appeteazers the chicken fingers are more like “chicken ARMS” and were delicious).
