The South Chicken Waffles - San Antonio

The waiting staff was very friendly and nice. The food was excellent southern dishes and it was surprisingly not overwhelmingly sweet. The pancakes were soft and fluffy with blueberries in it and the topping was delicious the chicken and waffles was beautiful and crispy. The atmosphere was laid on the flat screen with soft music in the background and sports.

This place is great. Better than great, it's excellent! We were greeted as soon as we went to the restaurant and didn't have to wait too long when we entered. The menu is nice and simple, but they give you a nice selection to choose from. Everyone at our party enjoyed their meal. I look forward to going back and trying the catfish and gumbo that was on the menu. If you come to visit on Sunday, come before 11 a.m.! They will be crazy around this time and the sizes of the groups can be quite large. Parking is plentiful if it is not peak hours. Peak times can be hard. Great place, excellent good and wonderful ambience. Chicken and waffles have done right.

With my husband for lunch. Pretty easy to find. We were greeted when we came in. Our waitress was Amanda and she was super sweet. We had fried pumpkins, chickens and waffles, catfish and geese and sweet tea. The pickles were good, but not great, and the ranch left something to wish, but I enjoyed them. Our food came out quickly and it smoked hot! I'm not impressed, but I have no complaints about our entrees. The grottos were so delicious! Not covered with sauce, not salted. They were perfect. The catfish was so crispy and fluffy. My husband's chicken was seasoned to Louisiana and back. If you haven't been... try it out! It smells so good that I forgot to grab my pictures before we get in. Oh! And Amanda brought me some apples when she woke up. Good gesture. And they jammed BUT they made sure they went over a few songs that were kind of suggestive or inappropriate. I thought the little detail was nice.

Fantastic food, I was shocked by the great amount of options for all day brunch, that is definitely the place to go! Katt makes a mean **** Mary, friendly service and smiling faces, great atmosphere to complete it. I've already found that I told friends about my new favorite brunch spot!

We had the Chicken and Waffle sliders with French toast waffle, Shrimp and Grits, and fried pickles. The food was good, however I wish the portion of the shrimp and grits was larger. The service was slow but the people were friendly and they gave us a complimentary bowl of gumbo which was very good as well. The only disappointing thing was that for some reason the grits had already started to cool and solidify but the sauce was warm enough to mix in and make the dish acceptable.
