Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant offers a great deal on a combination of 5 street tacos! The tacos are delicious and filled with a generous amount of meat. They are tasty and satisfying. The location is convenient, near UTSA on Roadrunner Road and close to the Food Truck park. The tacos are full of flavor and there are plenty of other food options available. This place really hit the spot.
We decided to go out for a little adventure on a beautiful day! We wanted to check out a food truck area and found this one on Google and Yelp. We arrived around 12pm and only two trucks were open on a Saturday. One of them served Cajun-Italian food and the other was a taco truck. We opted for the Cajun-Italian truck and ordered a pizza and Cajun pasta. The pasta was flavorful and served in a generous portion. However, the meat pizza we shared was a bit disappointing as it lacked flavor, with only tomato sauce and okay sausage. We went to the bar for drinks and enjoyed a whiskey and water as well as a rum and coke, both were poured generously for a food truck park. They had a good selection of beverages available. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures. The park had a total of five trucks, but the others were not open. There was space for a DJ, but there was none playing at that time of day.
The Block is a vibrant food truck park with delicious food and entertaining games like cornhole and table ring toss. The atmosphere is lively with great music and uplifting energy, making it a perfect spot for college students to relax and enjoy a meal. The drinks are enjoyable, albeit a bit pricey. Every visit to The Block has been a blast, although service can vary depending on the food truck. Sundays tend to be busy, making it challenging to find seating, but it's dog-friendly and you're likely to spot some adorable pups while you're there.
I love the food and the drinks are good, but the owner is the rudest man I have ever met. You 'd think someone running a business would be nicer to his customers. It really ruins the vibe for me. The tables and atmosphere is nice, he has been rude to me and my friends more than once tho and has the whole I have other customers attitude. But yea, overall the bartenders/food truck owners are great and The Block owner could work on his customer service.
Where do I start with this place, this always been expensive, but recently I went there this past Sunday and paid $21 for a pitcher of yuengling. Yuengling is a domestic beer the one of the oldest breweries in the United States and has recently come to Texas in the past few years. Though they might claim somehow like shiner it is an exotic beer or import it isn't, if they would have charged me 14 or 15 for a pitcher I'd be okay with that, but $21 for a picture is ridiculous, that's Vegas stripper bar prices. The place is full of a bunch of obnoxious college kids, usually really hot because of Texas weather and much can't be done about it. But to poke the people's eyes out for the short profit on a venture I'm sure it's going to fail eventually is ridiculous. They can have their $21 pictures and I'll just stay home and drink my beer than tip the dancing bear.
