Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - San Antonio

Went for dinner last week Was so disappointing arrived at 4pm and pretty empty My fathers burger was brought out the fries were cold and you could tell they were over cooked and all small pieces not cooked fresh probably just sitting wait for the FD next order it was another 12 minutes before my food came asked for a fully loaded baked potato was asked if I wanted to add cheese I said yes with extra butter and sour cream only got cheese and so much butter and sour cream the cheese never melted and the potato was cold in the past both extra butter and sour cream were brought in a extra container didn't have the loaded part of the potatoe but was charge for the cheese had the chicken fried steak brought the gravey in a small bowl it was hardly enough to cover my steak the Texas toast was burned on one size the other side wasn't cooked at all and cold and soft they did bring more fries for my dad but not even a im sorry just said you needed more fries really bring 1 persons meal before the others is ready that should never happen Melbourne Fl on 192

If I could give a zero review I would. We chose to have my husband's 40th birthday lunch here. When we had called previously, we were told they could sit a whole party together in the middle of the restaurant. We were so excited because there's other restaurants that don't accommodate a group of 20 without renting a room. It happened that only 15 people came. When we got there they had three separate tables in the side room area so we couldn't even sit together. They said they couldn't sit us all together due to needing to have accessible space for handicap customers. We made sure to be there right at opening time so there were not very many people at the restaurant. We were so disappointed this was a 40th birthday gathering. On our way out, there was a very large group of people sitting together where we'd requested but were told no. To make it worse, the manager was complacent to our concerns and the hostess was just downright rude. We will not be giving this establishment any further business. Don't count on this place to host your events!

The ambiance is nice, I wasn’t really expecting much from this place but It’s good for people who want to get the most out of their money type of place. Huge servings but expect fast food quality of food. It’s called a “scratch” kitchen but it feels like they just microwaved everything. I had the buffalo wrap, flavorful, I just don’t like deli chicken. Good selection of cocktails and drinks. Pricing was good so ill give it 4 Stars.The food came cold and the server didn’t pay attention to the fact that his finger is in my mashed potato but all good ? I’m not scared of a little germ in me just really hope he washed his hands ? VThe manager is very personable and assures you of good service. The service was fast, overall if you’re a foodie and want to try things that San Antonio has to offer, just skip this one.

First time here for myself and my kids and OMG not only was our waitress super friendly but the food was delicious. !! The alcoholic drinks as shown on my picture were delicious, the Cheddar Painkiller has a good kick to it. But overall HIGHLY recommend coming here.
