601 - San Antonio

Went for Happy Hour. The views were amazing and the Happy Hour prices were reasonable. We got our 1st order pretty quick, but the 2nd order took over an hour. Let's just say we were not impressed. Chef Giovanni came to our table to explained what happened. We appreciated the apology. He also came back with a delicious dessert plate ? We decided to just eat a few bites and take it home....But NOPE! We ate ALL of them because they were so good. Will definitely come back the next time we are in San Antonio!

Moscato sangria at happy hour! SO good! Service was awesome, as was the atmosphere!

They should not have the age at 21 and up if they are selling food and that's the only cheap option in the tower of americas. I'm 18 and would have liked to try some of the food and dessert they offer at bar 601. I couldn't even sit up there with my family while they enjoy drinks. And they didn't mention anything when buying the tickets for tower of americas. The view was great though.

It 's been a few years, but I finally made out to Tower of America 's Bar 601 for Happy Hour. I have to say that I was totally impressed. The fish tacos were off the charts. Made the traditional way with mahi-mahi and corn tortillas. The taste was phenomenal, especially for $7. The lettuce wraps were super tasty and plentiful $5. Not on the Happy Hour was the lobster bisque, but I just couldn 't resist. Couple of glasses of wine to wash it all down. Highly recommend Bar 601 for a great relaxing Happy Hour!!
