Vessel at Kona Kai Resort - San Andreas

It lovely to sit on the patio and watch the boats. Service has consistently been good. We have our boat at the marina and have enjoyed inviting friends to dine with us at Vessel multiple times. We will keep coming back

The indoor area of the restaurant is quite noisy in terms of both sound and sight. However, the outdoor seating where we were located was fantastic. Although the food was a bit underwhelming overall, the crusty salmon was absolutely delicious and the best we've ever had. Our waiter was friendly and personable, but seemed busy as we had to remind him of nearly every request. Despite this, it was a lovely evening due to the beautiful outdoor setting. Taking into account the food and service, I can only give a rating of 3.5.

Matt, our server, was great. Knew his menu well, and made great suggestions. Everyone was happy with their choices: the very tender pork chop, the tamarind chicken, the exotic whole wild sea bream, the short ribs, the lobster mac cheese. The calamari appetizer was prepared just right, with a tasty aioli. (Not rubbery, like a lot of restaurants do). And the kale Caesar was fresh delish made me feel I was getting something healthy to accompany all of the other rich choices. My only complaint is that the wine list was a bit spendy. The window seat looking out at the harbor added the perfect backdrop.
