Ruth's Chris Steak House - Popular Center

Service and eating are excellent! if you want a special evening, this is the place.

This restaurant is located at the old Bankers' Club facilities in the financial sector of San Juan. It has the best city view of any restaurant in town. Ruth's Chris menu is the same just about everywhere, so you know what to expect. It is the view and the crowd which is still the old Bankers Club crowd what essentially makes this such a great place to have lunch or dinner. I am not sure whether the day view or the night view is the best. You will have to decide that by yourself. So, a good idea is to get there by 6:00 pm; go to the bar for drinks and watch the sunset and then stay for dinner. Believe me, it really doesn't get much better than that.

I had a generally good dining experience overall, but the taste and quality of my steak were average. Unfortunately, they didn't get the temperature right - I usually like my steaks medium well, closer to medium than well done. My server recommended ordering it medium due to the hot plate they use, but that advice was not helpful as the temperature was not to my liking. However, my date enjoyed their dish and everything was perfect for them. The Remy VSOP blackberry sidecar was particularly delightful.

I choose the place to celebrate my anniversary. We had to return my wife plate twice, the first time the meet was overcook and the second time completely raw. Apparently the chef doesn't know how to cook a medium steaks. At least the service was good.
