Bidrage med feedbackWith my wife and my children for dinner. So we were the only ones who felt strange. Food was good quality and well cooked presented. Child food was fast with us and was also good. Could not decide...if the general feeling had come down or rustic, but overall a beautiful experience and we will go back.
A typical luxurious French meal serves beautifully. The products were produced seasonally and locally and the staff was well known. All in all a wonderful experience also with a large group
This last Wednesday we had dinner at the Le Country Club, based on a recommendation from our French friend who accompanied us with his family. We were a party of 7. The restaurant was less than half the fullest. The location is beautiful with...views about the Seine in a wooded residential area with some remarkable houses nearby. Before dinner we went around the neighborhood, heard the songbirds and took the scent of the flowering Lilac. Dinner was good, I wouldn't say great. Typically for many steaks I had in France, mine had too much grin. The other courts were good without complaints. The service was good and attentive, perhaps partly because of the relative serenity of other diners. We ordered our desserts from the menu and our server was happy not to commit anything we always meet in French restaurants. I'd go back, but just for setting, not eating.
We liked the ambience of the dining room, the service and the delicious meal (a whole leg baby lamb, served perfectly pink.
In a beautiful spot, tucked away right by the River Seine. Had a very nice comfortable room with balcony overlooking the River, interestingly and eclectically furnished. Although the room was clean, the balcony needed a very good sweep and wipe down, covered with spider webs...so unusable. Our room was up two flights of stairs (no lift apparent) and down a very long dark corridor, there were automatic lights that came on just a bit too late to be helpful, quite dangerous actually. Had an excellent evening meal (although v expensive) in the very attractive restaurant, also overlooking the Seine. The dogs were made welcome too. After the wonderful evening meal we were somewhat dismayed when our breakfast arrived, croissants and pain au chocolate, so burnt as to be inedible, followed by two rolls that again were over cooked so rock hard, no replacement or money back was offered.
